DreamKuts – It’s Not Designed to Cut Chipboard!
February 2007 - If you have attempted to cut chipboard with the DreamKuts and your machine no longer cuts
paper, see the easy fix instructions: Fixing Your DreamKuts After Chipboard!
In the meantime, here is a review of what the DreamKuts IS designed to do.
The DreamKuts has a total of three self-sharpening rotary blades that never need to be replaced. The machine
has two cutting slots, one in the back of the machine and one in the front. Place the paper or cardstock into the
slot of your choice and turn the crank to smoothly and quickly precision-cut your paper. It is hand-operated, so
no cords get in the way.
The Front Slot: Fixed 12” Width
The front slot cuts 12” wide paper or cardstock into three 4” sections. The black tabs on the ends of this slot
DO NOT move. They simply guide the paper. For nine 4” x 4” squares, run your 12” x 12” paper or cardstock
through the slot once, and then turn the three pieces horizontally and feed them through again. As long as
your paper is 12” wide, it will cut any length into perfect thirds.
The Back Slot: Adjustable 2” to 12”
The back slot is adjustable and cuts paper or cardstock from 2” to 12” wide exactly in half. Just move the black
tabs - using both hands at once - until the paper is centered. For four 6” x 6” squares, run your 12” x 12” piece
of paper or cardstock through the back slot once, and then turn the two pieces horizontally and feed them
through the back slot again. For six 4” x 6” rectangles, run your 12” x 12” paper or cardstock though the back
slot for a center cut, and then turn the three pieces horizontally and feed them through the front slot for the 1/3
cuts. You can continue to make center cuts down to 2” wide. Between the front and back slot you can make
an endless variety of precision-cut sizes.
What are those Dials on the Back for?
Nothing! The two dial-like wheels on the back of the DreamKuts DO NOT move. They are simply there for
aesthetic appeal and are not meant to move.
How Many Sheets Can I Cut at Once?
Do not cut more than one piece of cardstock at a time. Thin paper, such as most patterned papers, can be cut
two pieces at a time. DreamKuts is not designed to cut chipboard. To cut chipboard, we suggest the
Fiskars rotary paper trimming system.
About the Blades
The blades of the DreamKuts are self-sharpening and will not need replacing – ever – with proper use. Your
fingers will never come in contact with the blades under normal circumstances - so no nicks or cuts!

Er vel en form for avansert "skjærebrett" etter hva jeg har forstått...
